“As Training Camp Enters Week Two, Chicago Blackhawks’ Roster Begins to Take Shape Amid Exciting Contract Extensions, Key Cuts, and Intense Battles for NHL Spots”

As the Chicago Blackhawks head into the second week of training camp, the roster is beginning to take shape. With more scrimmages and practice sessions under their belt, clearer indications are emerging about how head coach Jeff Blashill might structure the team. While line combinations and defensive pairings aren’t set in stone, some early chemistry—like the trio of Connor Bedard, Oliver Moore, and Lukas Reichel—has drawn attention.

The camp has also given fringe players a chance to stand out. Defenseman Ethan Del Mastro, for instance, paired with Sam Rinzel, could be working his way into roster contention. In goal, Drew Commesso made a strong impression during scrimmage play and special teams drills, positioning himself as a serious candidate for the backup job behind Spencer Knight, even with Arvid Söderblom also in the mix.

While nothing is finalized yet, the early days of camp are offering a clearer look at the direction the Blackhawks may take as they prepare for the preseason.
